DESCRIPTION:
Clocks- 2 (Two): (1) Golden Novelty Mfg. Co., Chicago, elephant novelty clock, 30 hour, time only, spring driven balance wheel movement in a cast iron case shaped like an elephant, c1895; (2) Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co., Winsted, Conn., "Cosey Corner, Pattern R" cabinet clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement in burnt wood case with dice, cards, poker chips, and domino designs, c1906.
CONDITION:
(1) Metal case is in good condition, though most of the paint is gone. Mainspring will require attention. (2) Painted areas on case may have been reapplied. Numerals have been repainted. Paint on hands is flaking off. Rear panel is a modern replacement cut to fit. Dimensions are for the Gilbert (2). Sold "as is ".
